A Postcard From The North East 14th September

Sat, 14 Sep 2024

Join me Rob Collinson for my show "A Postcard From The North East.

I'm a composer/arranger based in County Durham. Although I'm entering my fiftieth year as a "bander" my work isn't exclusively for brass bands. Each hour-long show will have "featured" and "guest" bands, with the occasional "showcase" thrown into the mix. You'll hear familiar and not so familiar bands and music drawn from my personal experience. Look forward to your company.

All in a Day's Work Chapter 2

Fri, 13 Sep 2024

All in A Day's Work Chapter 2 with Chris Helme.

Brass Band presenter & speaker.

A Great audio Book to enjoy!

When he was a child, Chris Helme's relatives, often asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. His response was always the same, a policeman.

Sounds Of Brass with Annie 13th September

Fri, 13 Sep 2024

On the one hand It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) and Caravan and on the other I Knew You Were Trouble and Get Lucky ... which to choose. I'll have both!

With Annie Dehaney-Steven, Presenter.

Annie, lives in east London and plays in two north London bands; cornet for one and, latterly, sop (the Devil's cornet) for the other. Brass band was her first love, but she is as often found hanging around with jazz as a singer and event host.
