Bernie and Michael tackle the theme of 'Disconnect from Desire'. This theme provided a very fertile opportunity for playing a great range of music - Bernie focused on antonyms of desire and Michael played a wonderful selection of breakup songs. Both were on theme for the whole show and excited for each other's take on the theme. Enjoy the show.
Part 1: Join Tony and Shippa as they tie themselves in knots over pronunciation of band names, song names, and even their own names…it’s all so confusing! Is it lass-oh, or is it lass-ooh? Is it Porm-pur-roar, porm-pur-rah or porm-pur-raow (like a pussy cat)? Who knows? Well, Helen and Kieran from Bang Lasso put the guys straight, and also get down dirty discussing their music, their gigs and their fans in the front row (right Kieran?!)
Part 2: Tony and Shippa get stuck into some new submissions from up and coming artists in the second half of the show. Catch tracks from Nic Palmer (Lismore), Fast Kids (NYC), USA), Vid Sehgal (FN Queensland), Mountain Of Youth (Athens, Georgia), The Haunted Youth (Belgium), Annabelle (Brisbane), Jazzy Dale (Sydney), Georgia Blue (Wide Bay-Burnett, Qld), Bad//Dreems (Adelaide) and Hugernaut (near Castlemaine, Vic), with Shippa’s Surprise turning the temperature right down with the Ice Witch…Shippa’s gone GOTH!
