Episode 1070: Everyone Deserves Music with Scott - 23 November 2025

Sun, 23 Nov 2025

This show features part 1 of my interview with Yumi Zouma vocalist Christie Simpson. We also check out the Blossom Rot Records 5 Year Birthday celebrations which have been happening on 4 consecutive Saturdays at the Tramway Hotel in North Fitzroy (Melbourne) featuring tunes from Wiles, Bad Bangs and Nat Pavlovic. Sticking with the inner north pub vibe the show opens with Melbourne pub-rock legends Cosmic Psychos and their celebration of all things beer and pubs, The Psychos play Beechworth in January - circle your calendar for the 22nd. Weddings Parties Anything were born in this part of Melbourne and there's a few of their 90s songs in this show. Hearts and Rockets are locals too and Kalindy and Kurt have released new music. We hear their latest 'Get Bored' along with an earlier classic. Clea and Lucky are played shows in this area Saturday night and also have new releases. There's a fab debut album from Sydney duo Sunscreen to get very excited about. Silent Income have a gig coming up shortly supporting Molly Mckew and we hear a gorgeous track from them. The show closes out with a new lengthy track from Psych rockers The Silversound and we acknowledge the sad passing of Gary "Mani" Mounfield from The Stone Roses.
